Lately...

Things around here lately...

I have been decorating for Christmas.

I should probably get to Christmas shopping now...

Last weekend I went to Gatlinburg TN to meet up with the family for the weekend.

Little J, in the hotel lobby ready for a day in Gatlingburg.

Dad and I enjoyed the moonshine shop.

We ate lots of good food.

The only thing that makes sweet tea better is when it is in a Mason jar.

Dad took us shopping.

Mama C asked if they called them the Smoky Mountains because of the Smoke that comes out of them.  Yep she's mine. :)

Yesterday I met up with Mama C, G and Little J for the 2 Friends & Junk craft show.  There were so many cute booths and I managed to find several cute things to buy.

One of the shirts I bought.

And Little J, took up a new hobby while we were there.

Adulthood.

Since I recently turned a year older and am halfway to full blown adulthood I thought I would do a post about being an "adult".

So I am "considered" an adult by most standards now.  In my younger years I could never wait to be an adult, have my own place, do my own thing, make my own money.

Well let me tell you something sweetheart, that shit isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Being an adult means things like....

Having bills and having to pay said bills.

You have to get a job, show up everyday and they expect you to stay the full day.

You have the choice to eat whatever you want which sounds great but in the end just leads to another 15 lbs.

You may have your own place but that also means you have to pay for it and clean it.

And sometimes while cleaning said place your vacuum cleaning may start smelling like burnt rubber and you may have to turn to facebook for some quick advice from all the buffoons that troll that space looking for their moment to give advice about life or vacuums.

It is frowned upon when you spend all your money on "stupid" things and the parents have to pay your bills.

The moment I knew or something like it...

The Holiday Season is here, I love it and everything about it.

Which got me to thinking about how great life was when I believed in Santa and when I started to realize my whole life had been a lie.

Christmas was so much more exciting thinking when I went to sleep Christmas Eve some fat man in a red suit would be sneaking into my home to leave me all the great stuff I had asked for that year.

One of the last years I remember believing/starting to become skeptical about ole St. Nick was a year when the news had shown where some kid found an elf shoe in the field near his grandma's house and what do you know my grandma knew that kids grandma, which totally sealed the deal on the story being true.

Everytime I asked Grandma to call her friend up and see if she would bring that elf shoe over "something" came up.  This is when things starting getting sketchy but I was a true and loyal believer and still left out the cookies and left Santa a note asking about the elf that lost the shoe and went to bed early Christmas Eve so Santa could come.

A few weeks later I came across some pictures we had developed.  Yes back in the day you had to get your film developed in order to see the pictures taken on your camera. Crazy I know.  We made it through those rough times.  Anyway in those pictures I came across the sight that would ruin it for me, a picture of MAMA C writing the note left by "Santa" and what do you know she was having some of Santa's cookies as well.

I would never be the same after that kids.

The crazy train...

I would rather watch paint dry than attempt Black Friday shopping again.

After stuffing myself full of carbs I made the decision to go Black Friday shopping with G instead of taking my evening nap.

I should have known the moment I picked something over a nap it would not be a good decision.

I had never been Black Friday shopping.  I don't ever have anything specific that I would need to go out and battle for to get a great deal on.

This year G was looking for Little J an iPad mini and I was struck with the stupid stick and though it would be fun to go along.

That shit was crazy.

Of course she picked the worst Walmart for starters, had no game plan or map of the store.
A bunch of buffoons were just loose all over the place piling their carts with $2 movies, $4 jammies and $3 balls of yarn while playing chicken with each other going in every direction.

My anxiety set in and I was ready to go away.

10 mins later we made it out of there empty handed with no regrets of leaving the circus early.

I did however get to help Jingle the Elf make her debut this year.  Little J couldn't believe Jingle just popped back in like that or that she enjoyed vodka.

Happy Holidays!

My Reality.

Who doesn't love some quality trash TV?

We all have those favorite shows that just suck us in...most of the time mine are reality TV.

Some of my favorites....
Honey Boo Boo.
My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding
The Real Housewives...of every freaking city.
CatFish.
Teen Mom all the seasons.
Dance Moms.
Breaking Amish.

All these shows always make me wonder why hasn't anyone given me my own reality tv show?

Is it because I am too old for Teen Mom?  I don't eat enough cheetos for Honey Boo Boo?  I would never have neon wedding colors like a gypsy? I don't date strangers I meet online?
I'm not Amish and I'm not breaking from anything.

 photo mamajunesleep.gif

Then I realize my show would probably go something like this...
A lot of video of me sleeping, eating and sleeping and my weekly spray tan.

I feel like I would often be quoted saying things like "I could really use a nap right now." or "I'm hungry."

Who wouldn't want to watch that? Move aside Abby Lee Miller I just know soon they will be knocking at my door with a camera crew.

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to...

Started my birthday off at work Friday, my wonderful co-workers decorated my desk and got me a $50 gift card.

Saturday night we celebrated my birthday...I just can't hang like I use to.  I spent Sunday my actual birthday in bed.

I had today off from work for my birthday and planned to spend it being productive you know, cleaning, maybe doing some crafting and working on my blog.

Well not much of that actually happened.  I slept until noon, did some cleaning then discovered my vacuum might need a new belt because when I use it it starts to smell of burnt rubber.  I turned to facebook for a resolution to my problem and sure enough the experts reported a new belt is needed.  We shall see.
Let's be honest the rest of the day was spent on the couch on Pinterest.
Pretty great day if you ask me.

Twenties girl problems.

An army of birds decided to fly over and crap all over my freshly washed car.

My favorite jeans are too tight lately.

My car hood ornament just snapped off and no one else cared.

I just want to eat my feelings and I have a lot of feelings.

I turn a year older this week.

I have a closet full of clothes and nothing to wear.

There is also a city full of guys and no one to date.

Things you might hear in your twenties...

Things you will hear in your twenties.  (especially if you are single and have graduated college)

"So do you just not want a boyfriend?"

"Do you even want to get married?"

"Ya know I was married with a kid when I was your age."

"Do you plan on making that a career?"

"Welcome to the real world sweetie!"

"So why are you still living with you parents?"

"You are no spring chicken anymore."

"Well you're big girl now."

Just can't do it...

Some things I just can't handle in life...

People who assume the worst and run to the doctor every time they sneeze. Biatch there is nothing wrong with you people sneeze.

People who don't like ranch with their pizza or don't like ranch at all. Like what exactly do you eat then?

Those super thick fuzzy PJ pants.  NO.  Might have something to do with my fear of getting too hot.

Using the dryer in place of ironing.

Slow drivers in the left hand lane.

Dirty dishes sitting in the sink for too long.

People who can't work out or go to the gym without posting about it on all social media outlets.  We get it you work out.

Constant selfies.  I notice you think you're really pretty. Cool stop with the selfies.

Thankful status updates in November.  I am all about thanking the good Lord above for all he has blessed me with BUT when every other month you are constantly complaining it's hard to take you serious.

Shit I Never Say...

I just love working out.

Oh no thank you I hate fast food.

Aren't these Crocs cute?

I make too much money.

You couldn't pay me to go back to College!

Guys with long hair are so sexy.

I just miss high school so much.

Just eating Veggies today.

Let's make a Starbucks run.

Spray tanning makes you orange.

I never even get on Pinterest.

I want to own a mini van someday.

Boomer Sooner.

Can I get this in camo?

Crockpot Cooking.

Caring is sharing.

And because I am caring I sometimes share some great life tips I feel can be helpful to others...

Like for example when cooking with a crockpot it's important to always make sure the crockpot is plugged in.

Yesterday afternoon I decided to make an easy crockpot recipe using my new crockpot.

I hadn't ever made anything in the crockpot before, but how hard could it be?

You just put a bunch of ingredients in and turn the knob to high and wait a few hours. Right?
Well sometimes you forget a step  like you know plugging the crock pot in.

30 Minutes after thinking my food had started cooking I checked and realized the crockpot was not getting warm....thats when I saw it was not actually plugged in.

Little speed bump in the process to making Zesty Italian Cheesy Crockpot Chicken.

I found the recipe on pinterest and it fell into my few ingredients cooking rule so I gave it a go.

Ingredients:
Chicken Breasts (2)
Cream of Chicken Soup (1)
Packet of Italian dressing mix (1)
6oz of Cream Cheese

The recipe called for more but I just cut some of it in half to make less.  Recipe source here.

It's pretty good you won't regret it.

It's been a while...

Confessional Friday.
Does this still even exist?

I confess...

I don't even like Starbucks.

I don't remember the last time I ate anything considered healthy.  Unless an orange counts?  It was a cutie so it wasn't even a full size orange anyway.

I haven't worked out in like 6 months and I don't even care nor have the desire to.

Since the cold front came through I have only worn leggings.  If it doesn't have elastic I'm not interested.

My idea of a great night lately is spending the night on the couch catching up on Vampire Diaries.

I don't wanna grow up.

I have only ordered ONE thing online since I moved in Aug, yes ONE.  I'm no longer an addict and I'm not sure how I feel about it.

Today is a half Friday at work and I definitely think this should be a permanent thing not an every once and a while ordeal.

Twenties Talk.

I would much rather go to class everyday.

 Why is everyone getting engaged?

 Did you see her ring?

Is she really engaged before me?

 What's Tinder?

 She met him on Tinder?!

 Should I get a Tinder?

 I really love my job.

Spending your own money is hard.

 Big kid world is rough.

 Help me I'm poor.

 I'm such a grandma now.

What was I thinking when I dated him?

We are like half way to 30.

 Remember that time in College?

 Let's just have girl's night. photo sig-2.jpg

Sucks to suck.

My dear sweet friend DL brought to my attention that my blog sucks.
 photo tumblr_mop9fjKDGB1ql5yr7o1_500.gif
Whoop there it is.
He has a way with words what can I say?

Numero uno, no one asked you DL.

Two.  Well I don't really have a two.  My life is just so exciting these days the blogging material just isn't there.

I spend my days working.  Getting creeper facebook messages from guys wanting to get to know me because they really found my profile to interest them.
Evenings you can more than likely find me on the couch watching tv and pinning recipes and crafts with my roomie.
I know I should probably stop being so wild but Breaking Amish LA just sucks me in.
I like to be in bed at a decent time and by decent time I mean 9:30.  I like my sleep what can I say?

So excuse me if during all that excitement I haven't been producing great blog worthy posts.

And by the way....SUCK IT Johnathan because I am sure that even though my blog sucks you will be back to read more.

It's Fall Y'all.

It's Fall Y'all!
It's starting to feel chilly and fallish in the mornings. I am ready for the full on Fall weather to be here though.

Fall means an excuse to make all those recipes of high calorie food and sweets I have pinned. I may already do that but whatever.
LEGGINGS! I hate wearing real pants.  Bring on stretchy comfy elastic.  Just make sure your booty is covered ladies, ain't nobody wanna that.
Riding boots, need I say more?
Bon Fires.
Hay Rides.
Hot coco.
Football.
Tailgating, which is why we all like football anyway right?
Scarves.
Long sleeves.
Pumpkin Patches.

What are your favorite things about Fall?

Better late than never...

You may think if someone gives you a topic to blog about everyday that you will get on blogging more, but you could be wrong.
So I didn't really mean to lie when I said I would be blogging more because I truly had good intentions.  Then lets be honest I got lazy and I'm a grandma and have been getting into bed by 9:30.  I know I lead such an exciting life. Be jealous.

Not much excitement has happened in my life this week but I did get to see my favorite little tot this past weekend.

We were able to get BabyGirl over the weekend.  It was so great seeing her, it seemed like she grew a foot since I last saw her and is acting like such a big girl.

We played for hours.
Made S'mores.

She loved that her cowboy boots finally fit.

Such a sweetie.

I can't wait until we get to see her again.
